The only woman to win two WSOP bracelets, she is also the glamour factor in the Full Tilt Team. Being the only female player of the team currently, she is also the co-author of a book. With live earnings exceeding $2.3 Million and counting, Jennifer Harman is more than just looks when she takes to the poker tables.
A highly respected poker pro, I discovered that she has been playing since she was eight. She is married to stylist Marco Traniello, who is a one time poker pro as well. With a huge 24 cashes at the WSOP, she is one of the best women poker player the world has seen. Her two bracelets at the WSOP came in 2000 at the $5,000 No Limit Deuce-to-Seven Draw and the 2002 $5,000 Limit Hold'em. She was also runners up at the WSOP Europe in 2007 when she lost the HORSE event.
Harman has been plagued by kidney disease since very long and has had two kidney transplants; this has also led her to charter a non profit organisation for the cause. Her kidney problem has also kept her away from the game for more than a year but each time she has come back stronger than before.
She has made 3 final tables at the WPT but never one. Her 2000 WSOP win is said to be very remarkable as she has never played No Limit Deuce-to-Seven Draw before. All her knowledge came from a five minute session from Howard Lederer. So much, I guess for the power of a determined woman. She defeated the likes of Lyle Berman and Steve Zolotow at the final table and took home the money of $ 146,250. She is an American pro, raised in Reno and sets the tables alive regularly online at Full Tilt Poker.
